Tiffs (Toolbox for Lidar Data Filtering and Forest Studies)

Instructions for installation:

1. Download these two files (
MCRInstaller.exe and TiffsDemo.zip) from the website and save them into your disk. (If you are using 64bit system, the files are MCRInstaller.exe and TiffsDemo.zip)

2. Install Matlab Runtime Library - MCRInstaller.exe (If you are asked to install .NET framework, just click OK to continue since it is not required). If you are using Windows Vista, you need to restart your computer after installation.

3. Unzip TiffsDemo.zip to any place in your computer. You will see three files (TiFF.exe, TiFF.ctf, and Tiffs_system.txt) and three folders (\doc, \license, and \sample). Click TiFF.exe to install the program. The program runs automatically after installation.

4. Click Workspace->System Variables, in the Set System Variables dialog, set the root directory for Tiffs, which is the directory where TiFF.exe is located.

5. Now, you are ready to run the program to start your project. You can read the Tiffs_sample.pdf in the \doc folder to get your hands dirty with the sample data of Tiffs. Or, you can click Help-> Manual(.pdf) and read Tiffs_manual.pdf to learn how to accomplish your project with your own data.

To request a temporary license, fill in the form TempLicenseRequest.doc in the \Tiffs folder and fax it to
510-280-3160 or email it to admin@globalidar.com.
